MFT Sketch Challenge

I'm taking a leap here and entering the My Favorite Things contest for the next guest designer! I've done lots of design work in the past, but not since I've become addicted to Copics. I love the challenge of creating within guidelines such as a sketch or color challenge, and what makes that better than using new product to do it?!?

I got this adorable set last week, called Doodle Garden Party Time. Wow, I don't think I've had so much fun coloring an image lately! I had my niece Gracie in mind when I made this card. Her birthday is next month and she could be the real-life image of this little cutie.

I decided to paper-piece her dress with a cute hot pink pattern. Everything else is colored with Copics and you can see the colors I used below:

You know what the other fun thing about Copics is? You can color just about anything…don't have matching ribbon? No problem! I just colored some white ribbon with my YG05 marker to match the gift.

I stamped my image on X-pressit Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The DSP, punches and card stock are SU!.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
