Manhattan Flower

Hi there! For today's card I used the Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die, and I actually started out on the other side of this paper. I was playing around, but didn't like the way it turned out, so I decided to flip it over and use the negative image. I used my sponge daubers to apply ink to the roses. I used Barely Banana and Summer Sun for the top one, and Pumpkin Pie, Apricot Appeal and Barely Banana for the bottom one. I love how the ink highlights the edges of the petals!

You can't really see it too well in the picture, but there is also glitter on the edges of the petals. It's very sparkly in real life. I used the Taste of Textiles specialty paper for the shimmery striped background paper…I think this makes it much more elegant. Looks like I've got another wedding card ready! I also used White Satin Ribbon, along with some Styled Silver Hodgepodge to finish it off. The word "congrats" is from the Absolutely Fabulous stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I think of all the rose cards you’ve posted this week (2 of them I think) I like this one the best. It is bea-u-ti-ful! Granted, it had a 50/50 chance, but it was so beautiful, I had to post and tell you so!
