Lexicon of Leaves

Happy Monday! Wow, what a crazy busy weekend we had…my younger son Nick turned 10 on Friday, so we spent the day fishing at the Cape Cod Canal with his new surf casting rod, then out to see GI Joe at the movies Friday night…back to the canal on Saturday because they caught no fish on Friday, and we had an end of the season party to go to for Nick's traveling all stars baseball team yesterday.

So here it is Monday afternoon and I'm finally getting to stamp a little. I'm all ready for the girls to come over tonight for Stamper's Club, so I thought I'd give a sketch challenge a try. I seem to do my best work following sketch challenges, but I have to admit I think I hate this card lol!! It's about 92 degrees here today, and I don't even want to think about the fact that fall is right around the corner…being drawn to making fall cards in mid-August may be the part I don't like!!  Here's what I ended up with and at least I got to stamp right?

I've been eyeing the Midnight Madness sketch for a while, and decided to give it a shot today. I'll have to try and see if I can do a better job with it next week 🙂
Here's the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Oh, that is soooo Fall looking! Thank goodness for your summer greenery behind the picture, so that I know that Fall has not come upon us yet 😉 Your card is just beautiful. I just love the fabric brads. Thank you so much for playing with us at the MMSC this week. We love having you and hope that you will join us in the fun again next week!
