Have you seen the new Letterpress Plates for the Big Shot in the Holiday Mini Catalog? The link to the mini is in my right sidebar, and the Letterpress Plates are on p. 42. As you know I love the Embossing Folders for the Big Shot, because there are few ways to make a card more impressive than by adding texture (other than glitter of course lol!)…well now with the Letterpress Plate, the texture is debossed, meaning pressed into the card stock, not a raised texture.
I've been playing with them for the last week or so, and I thought I'd share one sample with you today. With the Letterpress Plates, you simply ink them up with your Craft Stampin' Spots… so I decided to give Shimmer Paint a try and see how that worked…love it!! I just added the Shimmer Paint where I wanted on the plate using a Sponge Dauber, placed my card stock on top and ran the sandwich through the Big Shot…and this card is the result.
I also used the new Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding (p. 21 in the Holiday Mini)…wow, this stuff is so soft & flexible, perfect for bigger bows like the one I made for this card. Holding the bow together is a Silver Glimmer Brad (p. 36 Holiday Mini) I think I'll use this type of bow again on a Christmas card since it reminds me of the bow you would see on a Christmas present!
Thanks for stopping by!
