Christmas is over, I took down the Christmas tree and decorations this morning, and it's time to start organizing for a fresh start to 2009! I've got just the little item to start out the year on the right foot…this customized Rolodex. I'm going to show you here how I made it, and you can even purchase your Rolodex and precut supplies right from me at a great price.
Here's what it will look like when you're finished:
Next you'll punch out a tab using your tab punch from a coordinating piece of card stock, and adhere it to the top of your index card. It's nice to stagger them so you can see mulitple letters at a time.
For the letters, I used the Simple Serif Mini Alphabet (only $20.95 and it's not retiring!), and I stamped on Whisper White card stock with Rose Red classic ink. Then I punched the letter out with the 1/2" circle punch, and adhered it with dimensionals. Don't forget to put the letter on the back upside down so you can see it correctly when the card is flipped over.
I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial. I hope to have lots of new things to show you this week. If you'd like to purchase your Rolodex and supplies from me, here's what you'd receive:
