Last week I told you how excited I am to be a guest designer for INKspirations 4U!, and also that I get to give away TWO free passes!! I love this part 🙂

I just finished my project last night and I am SO happy about what I made!! I'm not usually the type to brag about anything I make, but I have to tell you I really, REALLY like this project! It's completely original, I made it up all by myself, and I wish I could show it to you right now!! But I can't, so let's give away some free passes instead k??

So I was trying to think of what kind of comments I would ask for as your entry into the free pass giveaway, and I've decided that since my project is something you would use in the summer…how about you leave me a comment of either your favorite thing to do in the summer, favorite memory from childhood about summer, or favorite summer recipe?!? Ooh fun!! I can't wait to read your responses!!

Here are the deets…just leave a comment on this post between now and Friday night, and I will draw TWO winners and post the results on Saturday.

You'll definitely want to registerfor INKspirations 4U! on or before April 20th to get in on the Early Bird Pricing, and then if you win one of the free passes, your fee will be refunded! Yahoo, no need to hesitate on joining in on the fun!!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great day 🙂

  1. One of our favorite things to do in the summer is our annual trip to a beach resort up north of where we live. We go with two other families and stay in a 7-bedroom condo. It’s great fun for the kids and adults alike!
Thanks for the chance to win!

  3. My favorite thing to do in the summer is just chill out and take it easy and enjoy my vacation from my job at school.
My favorite recipe is not really a recipe. I just keep a huge bowl of salad in the fridge all summer.

  6. Going camping and getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living..no phones, no TV! Just pure relaxing!

  7. I grew up in Arizona and my fondest childhood summer memory was getting to visit some California friends and going with them to Disneyland, the day before it officially opened. It was all complimen-
tary and we even rode the teacups with Walt Disney.I think the only people there that day were the families of news reporters and anyone who had sold Disney some of the land to actually build it on. My friend’s father was both and they had five children so they figured one more wouldn’t matter. What a treat for me…something I will never forget !

  8. My favorite childhood summer memory is the times that I spent swimming with family and friends.
Congratulations on your guest designer position. I hope that it will be fun!

  9. Wow! Congratulations on being chosen as a designer! I love all you do and would love to win a free pass! I love summer! My favorite memory s
Is going to the beach with the family and swimming out to the docks on the bay! The first time I could ever swim that far I was ecstatic because the water was just out over my head! I must have been a tween back then! I also loved barbecues at the beach! Thanks for letting my mind wander back to those wonderful days!

  10. Favorite summer activity/memory….air conditioning! Gotta love it. My dad had his own heating and A/C business but he just was not convinced we needed a/c for the longest time at home. Boy, when he did decide we needed it, it was heaven! Iowa can be very hot and humid! I don’t tan – just burn to a crisp so I admit it – I like to stay indoors. Oh, and summer reading programs – I loved those when I was a kid and still do. Gee, I wonder if the library had a/c when I was a kid and that started it?

  11. Congratulations on being a guest designer! I love summer,
My fave memories are with family at the beach, summer barbecues, fourth of July parties-fireworks! Lazy days at the pool! Sunbathing! Warmth of the sun! Beauty of the ocean!

  12. My favorite memory of my childhood was our family camping trips! I’m looking forward to this summer as it’s my granddaughter’s first summer! We took her outside last weekend and she touched grass for the first time, and cried … it was so cute!
I love your work and thank you for the chance to win!

  13. Congrats on the guest designer gig! I have to say favorite childhood memory as well as now is to go to the beach – in my case, NJ. But swimming in a pool and baseball are up there too. As for food – anything on the grill! Thanks for the chance at what I’m sure will be fun too.

  14. My favorite thing in the summer is to sit in the swing with a favorite beverage and enjoy the flowers that are blooming or children playing or the smell of fresh mowed grass. Guess you could say I love summer.

  15. Congrats Kerin! Can’t wait to see what you design, I love seeing your ideas & creations! And who wouldn’t want to win a free pass! Just love the summer sun after the cold Michigan winters! Watching the grandkids play!

  16. SUMMER!! Oh, everything about summer is my favorite….love the warm days and nights that you can leave the windows open, not to mention hanging clothes out on the line…tea in glass of ice, on a swing with my hubby, and grilled food….oh I could go on and on

  17. congrats on the new venue to create in, you are so tallented , it would be a shame not to share your gift with as many as you could!! In summer I look forward every year to a cousins family reunion. (only my mother’s side). There were 8 of us and we did lots together. Now we are trying to keep the next generation close as we are spead from Mass, to Las vegas, to Florida. We have missed the last two years, but we are hoping to get back ontrack this summer!
    Good luck atInkspiration

  18. My favorite memory from childhood about summer is climbing the huge tree in the front yard at my Grandpa Jim’s farm. I can still hear him yelling “You’ll fall out of that tree and break your arm.” My brother did fall out and break his arm. We had a blast!

  19. My favorite memories from my childhood are the many, many camping trips I went on with my family. Growing up as an only child, I was always able to bring friends along on the camping trips. While there are too many fun memories to list, the one I will share is that NO matter what time of the summer, where we went, it ALWAYS rained at least once, and we were tent-campers. I tell my parents now that we could have made a living by “selling” our rain-making services *S*.

  20. Congrats on the design gig! I’m sure your projects will be wonderful!
My favorite memories of Summer are family picnics – getting together with family we hardly ever get to see, enjoying the weather and yummy food!
My favorite recipe is a Taco Salad:
1 lb ground beef or turkey (browned and rinsed)
    1 bag lettuce
    1 tomato
    1 green bell pepper
    1 can kidney beans (drained)
1 can black olives (drained and sliced)
    1/2 lb shredded cheddar cheese
1 sm jar Catalina salad dressing
1 sm bag nacho cheese Dorittos
mix all ingredients except the dressing in a large bowl; about 10 minutes before serving, mix in dressing (you can mix it in sooner, but it gets soggy after about 2 hours).
The last time I made this for a pot luck, I had people begging me to let them take the leftovers home!

  21. The annual “family fishing trip” is high on my list! We rent a huge house and have anywhere from 5-35 people there at any one time. It’s a great time to re-connect with other family members besides the fishing!
Congrats on being a designer-I’m sure your project is fabulous. Thanks for the opportunity to win a free pass!

  22. My favorite thing to do in the summer is to throw something on the grill and eat outside. It’s amazing that everyting tastes so much better on the grill.
Thanks for the chance to win and all the inspiring ideas on your blog.

  23. My favorite summer time memories are the times spent down at the Jersey shore – there’s nothing like it!!!
    Love your designs!!

  24. Sorry haven’t popped by recently … but (as you probably know) my dad had a heart attack 2 weeks ago … it is school holidays … my son turned 13 yesterday … and my eldest daughter is in labour as I type! I am excited about my 1st grandchild … but it is a long hard labour and I am a bit distracted.
It will be super fun to play with you at INK4U! Can’t wait to see what you have for us! I usually participate in every challenge … and get most projects done … BUT … with all that is going on in my life at the moment … I will probably be a little less involved in the next session. But … I will be there as much as I can!
    Hugs xxaxx
