I’m trying very hard to post something to my blog every day, and I’m really enjoying myself while doing it too! It kind of forces me to think of what I want to make…not something for a class, not something for a meeting, a swap, some other commitment, but just for the fun of stamping!
Let me start by saying this card looks MUCH better in real life…you can click on the photo below and see a bigger picture that shows more of the detail. I don’t know what the deal is with my camera (Canon PowerShot G6 for any of you camera experts out there!), but I am having the hardest time taking good pictures of projects lately! I think it might be time to finally invest in an Ott lite, but hopefully not a new camera since this one cost me a pretty penny a few years ago…we’ll see what happens.
I made this card using the Embrace Life stamp set, along with the Much Appreciated set for the "Thank you". I used Certainly Celery and Barely Banana, along with Whisper White and Basic Black card stock. I stamped the flower image on the white using VersaMark, then coated it in Winter White embossing powder and set with the heat tool. Then I just used my little sponge daubers to fill in the flowers with Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana and Almost Amethyst ink. Last, but certainly not least!, I added the glitter. I stamped the little cluster of flowers all over the Banana and Celery card stock too. I really like how the black makes it POP!
