Gift Card Holder Tutorial

This morning I was prepping for my classes this week, which feature the stamp set Eat Cake (which is retiring, so you'll want to order yours asap!!) and I was thinking to myself how cute and simple these little gift card holders are…then I though maybe you'd like to learn how to make them today if you don't know how yet…so here goes!

Start with a piece of card stock 4-1/4 x 11". Score at 3, 5-1/2, and 8".

Fold as shown in the picture, to create a valley, mountain, valley.

Flip over your paper, and adhere sticky strip on 3 sides of the square that's second from the left. Leave the right side free of tape, since this is where you'll insert your gift card.

Remove the red coating from the sticky strip and stick the middle together as shown. (It might have been nice if I used paper that was NOT the same color as the sticky strip huh? Sorry about that!!)

Using your Word Window Punch, line up the outside edge of your punch (the black plastic casing, not the actual part that punches) with the right side of your inner folded card stock piece, and punch. Then, line up the left side of your punch with the left side of your card stock, and punch that. Now you'll be left with a little tab hanging down in the middle, just line up your punch with the left and right sides, and punch it right off to make a nice smooth edge.

Decorate the front, insert your gift card, and tie closed with ribbon…simple as that!
