If you remember the special Stampin’ Up! offered last month for the stamp set “Fresh Cuts” with coordinating notes, and you ordered them…then this post is for you! When I offered this special last month, I also offered to make 5 sample cards complete with a list of supplies for my customers…here you go girls!
The first 3 samples are to show you that you can make a completely different card just by changing out the ribbon/card stock/ink colors!
I used Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red card stock, along with the matching felt flowers from the Flower Fusion pack. I used Old Olive wide grosgrain ribbon, Pumpkin Pie striped grosgrain ribbon, and Purely Pomegranate double-stitched ribbon. I know the card stock and ink are Rose Red, but they are very close so the ribbon matched nicely. I also used rhinestone brads, which adds just the right amount of “bling” since there is actually NO glitter on them! *shocker huh?*
For my next sample, I stamped my image in VersaMark and then poured over White embossing powder and heat set it, then I sponged So Saffron ink all over the front of the note card, and also sponged More Mustard on the edges. I used my 5-petal punch to punch out a white flower for under the center of the card, and I layered a piece of 3 3/4″ More Mustard card stock on the inside of the front of the note card. I used a rhinestone brad in the center, with More Mustard and White Taffeta ribbon on the side.
For the next card, I got the inspiration from a card given to me by my friend Christine. She used the Fresh Cuts set on a full sized card, no reason you need to limit yourself to the notecards you know! This one’s my favorite, and you know it is because it has glitter!
First I stamped my image in Night of Navy ink, then I sponged Brocade Blue all over the front of the card. I stamped the little flower in Night of Navy as well and cut it out. I put the rhinestone brad in the center of the small flower, and adhered it to the card using a mini glue dot. I used heat and stick powder over VersaMark and heated it up until it got nice and sticky, then sprinkled on the glitter and heated it again to set it. This was all done on a 3 3/4″ square of whisper white card stock, then I adhered that to the inside of the front of the note card. I used the small oval punch for the words “for you”, and white taffeta ribbon on the side.
The last sample is the original one I made, which I may have already posted, but I’ll give supplies and directions here. I put a piece of 3 3/4 x 7 1/2″ card stock, folded in the center inside the card, which I had stamped the largest image in Rose Red on. I stamped the floral vine up the side in Pretty in Pink, then tied the white taffeta ribbon around it, which holds the Pretty in Pink insert inside the card. I adhered a flower fusion flower to the center, then stuck on a half pearl from the Pretties Kit in the center using the Mono Multi glue.
