It's so nice to be creeping up on fall (although you'd never know it around here today with temps in the mid 90's!), and getting back into a routine around here. Don't get me wrong, I loooove summer, but some crafty time for me is good for the soul, and I don't make time for it like I should in the summer months.
Today I am playing along with the Flourishes Make a Good Impression Challenge, which is to use dry embossing somewhere on your project. I used an embossing folder on my card, and sanded the tops of the raised images a bit to show off the texture on the DSP.
I used the set Zinnias, and the coolest part of the Silhouette Cameo is getting to use the cutting files and having the stamped image perfectly cut out with very little effort! The background behind the flowers is a Spellbinders Perfectly Pierced Victorian Oval.
I colored my flowers with Copics in R00, R43, R46, R59 and the leaves with YG03, YG05, YG07, YG09.
I added a bit of Early Espresso Satin Ribbon (SU!), with a red button and some twine, all backed by DSP from the Echo Park Beautiful Life pad.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
