I had the opportunity this past Saturday to attend the Intermediate Copic Certification, taught by the amazing Cindy Lawrence! It was a wonderful day, and I learned SO much! I have been practicing my coloring with Copics, and decided to give Flourishes Colorful Creations Challenge a shot this week, using some of what I learned (more contrast!).
Here's my card:
I couldn't resist using the Roses are Red set by Flourishes for this one. The sentiment came from the Botanical Bookplates set, also by Flourishes. I used quite an array of Copic markers to achieve the colors I was going for, which didn't really always follow the Copic color method but that's okay. Note to self, increase Copic collection 😉 Here are the colors I used:
Roses: E50, Y32, Y35, Y38
Small Flowers: B91, B24, B28
Leaves: YG03, YG63, YG67 (this combo made the leaves a little brighter than I'd like, so I used a trick Cindy taught us, which was to add a gray on top of it to cut the brightness. I used C3)
The rest of the card supplies were Stampin' Up!.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm off to sneak in a little more coloring 😉
