Distress Ink Birthday Card

Hey stampers! You're probably getting tired of seeing me use distress inks by now, but I just can't resist! I so love watching videos and trying new techniques using them. I found THIS video and had to try the color burst effect. I have to admit, I wish my sentiment was in black, but I'm still happy with the way this card turned out.

I have switched to using Strathmore 140 lb. watercolor paper, and I'm finding that the results are better with this heavier, quality paper. The distress inks I used on this card are: Fired BrickMustard SeedMowed LawnPeacock FeathersSalty Ocean, and Seedless Preserves. My sentiment came from the Strictly Sentiments 5 set. For card stock I used the yummy new Summer Splash and Black Licorice from MFT Stamps. I finished off my card with a few sequins from the Taylored Expressions Gingerbread Lane collection.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Off to try some more distress ink techniques, hope you're not too bored of them yet!
