Criss Cross Applesauce

Crisscross1

Okay, this isn’t really called “criss-cross applesauce” but the second I started typing it I flashed back to my boys in preschool and kindergarten when the teacher would call out “criss-cross applesauce” and they’d all gather on the carpet and sit with their legs crossed…too cute! Now they’re 13 and 9, and would look at me like I had two heads if I even suggested such a childish command! Good times…

Anyway, back to the card, called a criss-cross fold, just for that reason. This is another project we made at my downline meeting the other night. It’s made with a full sheet of card stock, cut in half the long way. Then you score both halves at 5-1/2, and cut an angle in the ends, adhere them together and decorate! We also used the new Parisian Breeze specialty textured paper, love that stuff! Plus the pretties hat pin with beads of their choice. The rhinestone brad in the middle looks red in the photo for some reason, but it’s really a clear one. And how about that beautiful Baja Breeze satin ribbon from the Valet pack, I love that stuff so much it’s all gone already! The flower border was created using the new Thoughts & Prayers stamp set.

Think you’d like to join in on our meetings? We’d love to have you! Contact me anytime to find out about signing up to be a demonstrator!
