Color Challenge

I was surfing around blogland tonight, looking for a challenge to jump start my mojo, and I came across Picture Perfect Creations. Their challenge for this week is to use Concord Crush, Certainly Celery & Crumb Cake…oh the perfect challenge I thought, since I rarely break into my Concord Crush pad!!

Here's what I came up with:

Speaking of my Concord Crush pad, I don't know what's up, but that's the only color I used on my hydrangea, and see the pinkish sections?? Hmmm…don't know if it's the stamp pad, or maybe a reaction with my well water? Anyway, I'm pretty happy about it, because I stuck to the challenge and still got some variation in color!

Here's what I used:

Stamp Sets: Because I Care, Wonderful Favorites

Ink: Concord Crush, Certainly Celery, Crumb Cake (I washed over my flower and leaves with Crumb Cake to dull the color a bit)

Card Stock: Whisper White, Concord Crush, Crumb Cake, Crumb Cake patterns dsp

Accessories: Basic Pearls, Linen Thread, Tag Punch, Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, Aquapainter, Stampin' Dimensionals, Scallop Border Punch

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Kerin, I clicked on the pic to see the ‘pinkish’ sections better. I do see them, but I think it adds a lot to the flower, making it look more realistic. I know that’s not helping you though, having an ink pad that does what it wants to do of its own accord! LOL But it turned out beautifully, so it worked for this card. 😉

  2. Your card is very elegant. I love that stamped image. I used it myself the other day…LOL. Yours is way nicer. It must have taken some time to cut it out but it looks amazing that way! Thanks for rockin out the color combo and for sharing your card with us at PPC this week.

  3. Kerin isn’t that stamp set the bestest!?! I love it – especially for colors like these ones…you did an awesome job with our challenge this week at PPC! Thanks for joining us…
