Clean & Simple

Happy Friday! Woot-Woot!!! I made today's card for a new challenge I found (new to me anyway), called the Fall To Layout challenge on the Clean & Simple Stamping blog. I don't know if clean & simple is really my style, since often I can't put together a card with less than 8 or 9 layers lol!, but I liked the sketch and samples so I gave it a shot.

I did no stamping again, and instead I used the Punches Plus Classy Brass Template and my Light Box, gasp! What is that?!!? I don't think I've picked up a stylus to dry emboss since the introduction of the Big Shot…why would I when the Big Shot will do it all for me? Well, it was kind of cool to do it myself 🙂 Here's a better view of the embossed portion:

Hey, have a fabulous Friday okay? Maybe try a Stampin' Up! product you've neglected for a while and try something new!

  1. I love how you’ve done this card. Very classy and so effective. Now to figure out how I can achieve a similar effect without the punches plus brass template (which we can’t get here in NZ)…

  2. OH MY, I love this card. I make cards using the punch method. They sure would prettier with the raised areas on the card.
Love the ribbon you added. How did you do the edges of the card that is red?
