Hi stamping friends 🙂 It’s that time again, time for a new challenge at The Card Concept, and this week we’ve got a fabulous fall photo to inspire you!
My style is clean & layered, and I was inspired by the colors and rustic look of the photo. I saw some berry twigs in the background and thought of this wreath. I used the Seasonal Wreaths set from Flourishes (did you hear they are going to be re-opening?!?!), colored with Copics in Y15, Y18, Y38, YR15, YR18, R17, YG91.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you find time to join us this week!
Hey stamping friends 🙂 It’s time for a new challenge at The Card Concept, and this week we’ve got an inspiration photo and some colors for you to try:My style is clean and layered, and this week I was not only inspired by the colors, but the beautiful fall setting reminded me of snuggling up in a warm quilt!
I got THIS die-namics set from MFT Stamps months ago (another “had to have” lol), but I wanted to wait until it felt like quilt season to use it. And I love THIS set of sentiments, perfect!
I hope you’ll make some time to join us this week, and if you need any more inspiration, check out the rest of the design team’s creations!
Hey stamping friends 🙂 It’s time for a new challenge at The Card Concept and this week we have a photo to inspire you:
My style is clean and layered, and I was inspired to use a white pumpkin on my image with a bit of a shabby background. I used a stamp I’ve had for years, from the now closed Flourishes, but I felt like it fit this challenge and time of year pretty well, it’s called Autumn Blessings. The DSP is from a paper pad called Reunion from MME. Of course my image is colored with Copics.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have time to get inky this week, we’d love to see what you create!
Hey stamping friends 🙂 It’s time for a new challenge at The Card Concept and this week we’ve got a fun theme for you to try: Forest Friends. How cute is this inspiration photo?!?
I was inspired by the cute animals and found this sweet moose to use. He is from There She Goes Stamps, which sadly went out of business some time ago, but I scooped up some stampy goodness before they closed.
I colored my moose with the following Copics:
Moose: E31, E33, E35, E37, E47
Trees: G20, G24, G28
Scarf: B91, B93, B97
I created my background by using distress inks in Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass, then I flicked water on it to make a speckled sky. I found some sparkly card stock to die cut my stars from and of course being a clean and layered girl added a few more layers before applying it all to a white base.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you’ll find some time to join us this week, we’d love to see what you create 🙂
Well hello there stamping friends! We have had quite a hiatus over at The Card Concept blog, we took the entire summer off. It was nice to relax and refresh, but it’s also SO nice to be back to our challenges! Lesley has come up with a fabulous inspiration photo as usual:
My style is Clean and Layered, and I was inspired by the sweet daisies and of course I couldn’t help but highlight a bit of the aqua blue as well!
The stamp set I used is called Gerber Daisies by Flourishes (unfortunately they are closed, oh how I miss that store!). I colored it with my Copics and added several layers of card stock.
We hope you’re ready to get stamping again too, we’d love to see what you create! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Hey stampers! It’s time for a new challenge at The Card Concept, and this week we’ve got another fabulous photo for you to draw inspiration from:
My style is clean & layered, and you should definitely checkout the rest of the design team’s card for samples in many different styles!
I was drawn to the flowers, and of course the fresh summery color palette. I found a stamp I’ve never used, actually it’s from a stamp company that sadly no longer exists called There She Goes Stamps. I used my Copics…hmmm, wonder when the last time I only used 2 color groups of Copics was?!?!
I hope you like my sample, and even more I hope you’ll join us this week! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Hey stamping friends! It’s time for a new challenge at The Card Concept, and how do you like this inspiration photo? Ooh I think it’s dreamy!! I love the assortment of rainbow colors, they inspired me to create the card above using distress inks. I wanted to include the pinks/oranges too, but that would have required one very large card lol.
I brushed on my distress inks (Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass, Peacock, Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves, Mustard Seed), onto watercolor paper, then gave them a little splash of water. I added the sentiment from Wonderful Favorites (Stampin’ Up!), and a few sequins.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you’ll join us this week!
Hey stampers! It’s time for a new challenge at The Card Concept, and this week we’re inspired by cupcakes! Yum-o. Here’s the inspiration photo:
There’s lots of inspiration created by the other designers to get your juices flowing, plus we’re welcoming some new design team members this week! You will definitely want to stop by The Card Concept blog!
Happy Wednesday stampers! You know what that means, time for a new challenge at The Card Concept! This week it’s all about distressed wood and pretty flowers, check out the inspiration photo:
I knew I had some wood textured DSP, but it was a little dark for my liking so I “distressed” it a bit with some white craft ink. I found three different blooms on the Silhouette site: A peony, a double bloom cosmo, and a camellia flower. For my background I used the Die-Namics Vertical Stitched Strips from MFT Stamps. The sentiment came from an old set from Flourishes (sadly they went out of business, I heard they may be making a comeback though??? Oh I would be thrilled!!) I also added a few enamel dots for a little something extra.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I can’t wait to see what you create this week!
Hey there stampers 🙂 I feel like I’ve been MIA for a while from stamping but I don’t know why I’m surprised, it happens every spring with the onset of baseball season! Lots of practices and games for Nick. This weekend we’re heading over to Martha’s Vineyard for a double-header, that should be fun! Hopefully the weather will cooperate! Anyway, it’s time for a new challenge at The Card Concept, and I’m so happy for that because without The Card Concept challenges I don’t know if I’d be stamping at all these days.
This week there is an inspiration photo for you to try:
At first I thought I was going to make something very soft & flowery with some polka dot ribbon, but I’ve been seeing so many cool shaker cards lately I decided to use the polka dots in this photo as my inspiration to create a shaker card with sequins.
