Well hello there! Wow tonight feels strange…all summer long I’ve been only working on design team projects, trying to make sure I complete everything on time and still get as much outside/camping/family time in as possible…but tonight is different! I came down to my stamp room to stamp, just for fun, with no deadline looming 😉 A nice glass of wine and a full rack of Copics and I’m ready to go!
I’ve had my eye on Lesley’s The Challenge since it began, and I am so excited to play along this week! I thought this little fella from Sugar Pea Designs would fit the color scheme perfectly. Aaahhh, behind his conservative exterior a hero is ready to be unleashed! LOL.
Here’s the challenge, to use either the color scheme or sketch, or both. I’ve chosen to use both!
I was finally able to sneak away for a little stamping time tonight, and I was so excited! All Summer I’ve been just keeping up with my design team commitments, between baseball and camping we haven’t been home much! But, baseball ended last weekend (Nick’s team won the championship in the New England Elite League woohoo!), which frees up a good amount of my time!
I received my latest order from Sugar Pea Designs last week and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this little guy & some Copics! The stamp set is called My Hero. Here’s the sketch:
I am loving the stamps from Sugar Pea Designs, and couldn’t wait to get them inky to join in on their very first challenge! Sugar Pea Designs opened earlier this month with stamps that are perfect for those of us addicted to Copics 😉 Lots of coloring, and the images stamp so crisp and clean! I used another one of their sets HERE.
For the sketch I turned to another of my favorite sites, Karen’s Sweet Sunday Sketch. I changed it up a tiny bit to make my gopher the center of attention.
Here are the supplies I used:
Stamps: Go-Pher It (Sugar Pea Designs)
Paper: Love Me (My Mind’s Eye), Real Red, Basic Grey (SU!), X-PressIt Blending Card
For today’s card I turned to Karen’s Sweet Sunday Sketchagain! Love the versatility of this sketch. I switched it up a tiny bit, but the sketch is where I got my inspiration. I was SO excited to ink up this new guy, “Pizza my Heart“, from the brand new SugarPea Designs stamp company. Talk about top of the line stamps, these babies stamp so crisp and clear, they’re a dream to work with!
Here are the Copics I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Coat/Hat: E40, E41, E42
Hair/Pizza Peel: E31, E33, E35, E37
Pizza: E30, E50, E53, Y21, R24, R27, R39
Shoes: N4, N6, N8
Scarf: R24, R27, R39
The DSP actually came from a Christmas stack I got on clearance for $2!! It’s called Botanica Noel by Recollections. I also used Cherry Cobbler & Very Vanilla CS from Stampin’ Up!
