For my card I used clear plastic behind a wine glass cut out in my card, and I added some burgundy card stock behind it for my wine. I used sequins for bubbles…I know wine doesn't typically have bubbles like champagne would, but one of my very favorite wines is Italian and it is a little "fizzy" with a raspberry flavor. Yes, I like wine that tastes more like juice lol 😉

Thanks so much for stopping by, come back tomorrow for another sneak peek 🙂

What easier way to create a clean & simple card than by using one of the fabulous Funny Bones sentiments available! I used Trail of Glitter. I love this sentiment, especially because a few of the girls that used to come to my classes called me the Glitter Queen, they even made me a button that said so!

Riley and Company ~ How to Color Riley

_DSC0017

This week we've got a little something special for you at Riley and Company! Members of the design team are sharing how they color Riley, and there is an assortment of different mediums that are being used too. I use Copics, and I always color Riley with E31, E33, E35, E37, E59. For my card I used Fishing Riley. Here is my step by step:

I color one section of Riley at a time, because you need to keep the color from drying up between adding layers of color, this helps it all blend together at the end. I start with E31 all over:

_DSC0001

Next I add shading of E33:

Next I add some E35 to the darker spots:

_DSC0003

Then I go over it all again with E31 to blend:

_DSC0004

If I feel like it got a little too light, or if I waited to long and it didn't blend as well, after the E31 I may add touches of E33 & E35 again, then coat it all with E31 until I'm happy with the results:

I follow the same method with the other parts of his body:

When I start on the antlers and hooves, I skip the E31 and start a shade darker at E33. I add E35, E37 and finally E59 in the corners for the darkest parts, finishing by blending it all together with E33:

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I color Riley. I'm looking forward to seeing what the rest of the design team does to color their Rileys too!

For the rest of my coloring on this image I used:

Boat: N2, N3, N4

Rod/Reel: R22, R24, R27, R29

Hat: B32, B34, B37

Riley and Company Challenge ~ Monochromatic Card

_DSC0053

It's time for a new challenge at Riley and Company, and this week's hostess Joy is challenging us to make a monochromatic card. I immediately thought of Dog Walker Riley…brown Riley and brown dogs, perfect! Plus, there is a funny sentiment that matches so well called People Who Don't Have Dogs, so I used that on the inside of my card.
