Paper Sweeties January Release Rewind

It's day 4 of the new releases at Paper Sweeties, and today we've chosen to use one of the new sets along with a set that was previously released. I went with one of my favorites for this month, Sending Sweet Thoughts, along with the perfect sentiment from the Beautiful set.

I have another view to show you, so you can see that I coated my cupcake "frosting" with a clear coat of Crystal Effects, then sprinkled on some glitter. This looks so yummy in real life!

Let's see what the rest of the design team has for you today!

Here are the supplies I used for my card:

Stamps: Beautiful, Sending Sweet Thoughts

Paper: Indie Chic (My Mind's Eye), Candy Pink Collection (Flourishes), Sahara Sand (SU!), XPressIt Blending Card

Copics: R81, R83, R85, R89

Accessories: Button & Linen Thread (SU!)

Thanks so much for stopping by today πŸ™‚

Paper Sweeties January Inspiration Challenge #15

It's time for an inspiration challenge from Paper Sweeties! I'm so excited that I was invited to be on the design team πŸ™‚ Here's how the challenge works:

Our challenge will run for the entire month. You can play along as many times as you wish β€” the more times you play, the more chances you have to win! The challenges will end at 12 pm EST on the last day of each month. The new challenge will be revealed on the 1st of each month. The winner of the previous month’s challenge will be announced on the 1st of each new month, will win a $20 gift certificate to the boutique and will be invited to Guest Design with the Sweeties next month!

Here is the inspiration photo:

My gosh how sweet is that little girl!?!? The first thing that popped into my head when I saw this photo was that even in her little snowman outfit I bet she's a princess! So, I picked out some colors from the inspiration colors and got to work with the sweet Abigail set.  I loved that she comes in her "undies" so to speak, and you can buy all sorts of outfits for her to wear. Naturally I turned to the Dream a Little Dream set for her princess outfit! I colored her dress & bow with Copics in R20, R21, R22, her hair in E31, E33, E35, her skin in E000, E00 and E11. I also added some sparkle to her wand, some satin ribbon and a little bling to finish it off.

Check out what the rest of the design team has come up with for inspiration:

I hope you'll join in the fun this month! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Paper Sweeties 14/Deconstructed Sketch 131

For today's card I turned to the new Deconstructed Sketch:

And I also visited the Paper Sweeties blog to see what the current challenge is:

I'm just about over Christmas cards and ready to get stamping something else, so my card may seem a little unconventional when you look at the picture. When I thought of that sweet little girl waiting for a celebration and I picked several colors from the color palette to create with, this is what I came up with. I hope you like it :)

Here are the supplies I used:

Stamps: Beautiful (Paper Sweeties)

Paper: Reunion DSP (My Mind's Eye), XPressIt Blending Card

Copics: BG10, BG11, BG13, Y21, Y23, Y35

Accessories: Silver Label Frame, Paper Flower, Small Oval Punch (all SU!)

Thanks so muh for stopping by πŸ™‚
