Crafter’s Companion – Verity Rose

Happy Friday stamping friends! Boy oh boy, now that my day is longer and my commute is longer with my new job, I appreciate Fridays even more! Today I’m sharing a card I made using a fun new set from Crafter’s Companion…it’s a little sneak peek of what’s coming to HSN on May 4th with Sara Davies!! You will definitely want to tune in..Sara is bringing so much crafty goodness to share, you will love it!!

This little cutie is from the Verity Rose collection and she is called Sunbeam. I enjoyed coloring her with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers! Here are the colors I used: CT1, CT2, CT4, BT1, BT2, BT4, BP2, PL1, FS2, FS3, TM2, GB8, GB10. TB1, TB2, TB3

I can’t believe how lucky I was to find matching DSP and ribbon in my stash, because I colored her FIRST, then went looking for what I’d use to make a card. Not my usual process! I usually pick out my papers first, then color around them to make one cohesive design. I had luck on my side for this one for sure, because it’s not like I used the most common selection of colors for her lol!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great Friday 🙂

I used the Sara Davies Signature Collection – Floral Delight -Decorative Metal Dies – Pretty Petals for the flower cut outs. **Tip: To avoid splattering on a section of your card like I’ve done here, simply cover portions with post-it notes! I hope you can see the sequins inside the flowers!

Crafter’s Companion – NEW! Butterfly Lullaby

Hi stamping friends 🙂 Today I’ve got two new projects to share with you, because I’m super excited about the launch of the beautiful Signature Collection by Sara Davies – Butterfly Lullaby Range at Crafter’s Companion! Wait until you see the sweet, softly colored designs of the Paper Pad, and the terrific texture of the embossing folders, and the intricate detail of the metal dies!! This range is the perfect collection to make cards for so many occasions!

For my first card (above), I used the Butterfly Lullaby 6″ x 6″ Paper Pad with the Decorative Metal Die – With Love. Oh my gosh, you could totally switch up the papers and colors and make a huge assortment of cards so simply! I used two different colors of card stock with my die to give the sentiment a little added dimension.

For my second card, I used the Butterfly Lullaby Embossing Folder – Filigree Frame on Spectrum Noir Premium White Cardstock, along with the Decorative Metal Die – Oval 3D Butterfly…another super easy way to make a large number of cards, just keep die cutting with different colors!

You’ll definitely want to check out the Crafter’s Companion Facebook page…they post so many wonderful projects!

Crafter’s Companion Flower Frame

Hi stamping friends 🙂 I altered a small 4×4″ picture framing using my Crafter’s Companion supplies and wanted to share it with you! I should have taken a before picture but forgot 🙁 I started with a 4×4″ white frame I picked up at the dollar store quite some time ago. Also not seen in the picture is that it has a ribbon attached to the back that can be used to hang it on the wall.

I cut a bazillion 22 die cut flowers from the Die’sire Classiques 3D Flower – Delicate Flower from four different colors of cardstock from the Polka Dots & Gingham 11×17 Paper Pack, then die cut the leaves with the green from the same pack. I stamped the sentiment from the Floral Delight stamp set on Spectrum Noir Premium White Cardstock and inserted it under the glass of the frame.

This was a super easy project…quite possibly the hardest part was getting a photo without glare on the glass of the frame!

Crafter’s Companion – Elegance Frame Purse

40116-ksylvester-wmHi stamping friends 🙂 I’ve got a new project to share with you today that I’ve made with my Crafter’s Companion supplies…it’s a little purse I made using the Elegance Stamping Frame Decorative Die. I created it by die cutting two pieces of cardstock from the Opulence 11×17″ card pack with the Elance Stamping Frame die, then I made a little open topped box to adhere between the two die cut pieces to form a purse, easy peasy!

I added handles to my purse with some thin white ribbon, then colored these sweet daisies from the Sheena A Little Bit Sketchy-Poppies & Daisies set with my Spectrum Noir Markers: CT4, CG1, CG2, GB6, DG3

This little number would be perfect for party favors or other small gifts. The actual container portion measures about 3-3/4″ wide, 1-1/2″ deep and 3″ high. The overall purse is 5″ wide and 4-1/2″ tall.

Crafter’s Companion – Butterfly Card

229163-kerin-sylvester-wmHi stamping friends 🙂 Did you see Sara Davies on HSN last week showing so many wonderful Crafter’s Companion items…the AquaBlend pencils, Edge’ables dies, etc?!? Well today I’m sharing a project made with the new Crafter’s Companion Edge’ables Fancy Borders- Butterfly Dreams.

I simply diecut the butterflies out of Spectrum Watercolour Cardstock, and colored the entire panel using Spectrum Aqua Markers in Purple, Magenta, Red Violet. I spritzed a bit of color directly on it for a splatter effect and added a few sequins to finish it off.

Crafter’s Companion – Easter Box in a Bag

Hi stamping friends 🙂 Today I’m sharing a project I made using my Crafter’s Companion supplies that would be perfect to hold some treats for Easter! Have you ever seen a box in a bag? Basically you create an open top box, then wrap it in designer paper and seal it up with some red liner tape to create a bag…super simple! This one measures 6″ tall and about 3″ across at the base.

The purple plaid paper is from the Polka Dots & Ginghams 11×17″ Card Pack, and my bag is held shut with the smaller die in the Chantilly Lace Stamping Frame die set.  I punched a whole through it and the bag and tied it up with some white satin ribbon. The image on the tag is Bebunni Bloom & Grow and I colored this little guy with my Spectrum Noir markers in HB1, HB2, HB3, IG1, IG2, IG3, LY1, LY3, CG2, CT4, DG1, PP1, PP2.
