Crafter’s Companion ~ Independence Day

Hi there and happy almost Independence Day! It’s going to be a gorgeous weekend here in the Northeast and I am SO ready for 3 days of no work! I’m making lists for a cookout and thinking of some quality time with my family, so I was in the mood to make a 4th of July card tonight.

Crafter’s Companion came out with the most fabulous 4th of July sets this year…Independence Day and 4th of July! I used my Spectrum Aqua Markers (Crimson, Navy and Teal) on watercolor cardstock to create this crazy background for the sentiment on my card.

Whatever you’re doing this weekend make it great! Thanks so much for stopping by 🙂

Crafter’s Companion – Just for Men

HI there and happy Friday! Today I’m sharing a fun card I made using the new Just for Men Collection from Crafter’s Companion. Are you like me and dig through your stash to find a “manly” card when you need it, only to find a drawer full of flower cards?!? Crafter’s Companion has the solution to that problem! Quick and easy cards made with a few essential “manly” elements…the Just for Men Collection!

I used the Just for Men 6×6′ Paper Pad – Brights Collection for the background, and the tools are from the Decorative Metal Dies – Tool Set. To give it a little extra something, I brushed on a little shimmer to the “metal” parts of the tools using a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen – Clear Overlay. The sentiment is from the Just for Men – Rock Star stamp set.

Crafter’s Companion – Father’s Day Cards

Hi crafty friends! Since today is Father’s Day, I thought I would share with you three super simple cards I made for the dads in our lives. We had a cookout today to celebrate the great men that they are and I whipped up some cards this morning…nothing like the last minute huh? Anyway, I turned to this amazing new collection from Crafter’s Companion called Just for Men, and these cards came together in a snap! Of course there are lots of items in this collection that can be used for birthdays and kids, not just men, but it’s the perfect go to collection when you want to create something for that special man in your life!

I used the Just for Men 6×6″ Paper Pad Brights Collection and the Just for Men Decorative Dies – Superstars. I added some acetate and sequins to turn them into shaker cards.

Crafter’s Companion Fireworks

HI there! Today I’m sharing a fun card I made using two new sets from Crafter’s Companion, called 4th of July and Independence Day! I decided to make a scene showing fireworks bursting above the rooftops. I colored the houses with my Spectrum Noir markers: IG3, IG6, EB3, EB6. For the fireworks, I colored directly on my stamps with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Markers, then stamped with them. I used the following colors: Red Berry, Pink Garnet, Moonlight, Inspired Violet, Blue Topaz, and Emerald Green. It worked out very well! I tried to capture some of the sparkle in a close up shot, but you really need to see this in real life to see the amount of shimmer!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today 🙂

Crafter’s Companion – Just for Men

Hey stamping friends 🙂 I’m super excited to share today’s project with you! I feel like I never have the right card for boys and men, and this week Crafter’s Companion has completely solved that problem with the new Just for Men collection by Sara Davies!! There are embossing folders, die cuts, paper pads, and stamp sets all geared toward men!! I thought this set was fun for my boys, called Street Wise, and even the splotches of paint are from a stamp set called Urban Graffiti, plus, what guy doesn’t want to see the sentiment “You Rock” on their card?!?! There are lots of other “guy” sentiments in the Rock Star set!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you’ll love this new collection as much as I do! Father’s Day is right around the corner, I can’t wait to show you the card I’ve made for that using the Just for Men collection!

Crafter’s Companion – Gemini Cutting Machine – Sneak Peek!

6-3-16-w-wmBoy oh boy this is exciting stuff stamping friends! *Soon* there will be a Gemini Electronic Embossing and Die Cutting Machine released by Crafter’s Companion and it is A-MAZ-ING!!! No more hand cranking to emboss and use dies 😉 Oh yeah, that’s right, this machine does all the work for you!! Plus, to make it even more exciting there is a bunch of “stuff” that comes with it…embossing folders and dies!! Here’s a quick sneak peek of a card I made in…oooohhhh, maybe 10 minutes with the use of my Gemini!!

Stay tuned, and check out the Crafter’s Companion Instagram, Facebook page, and blog!!

Crafter’s Companion ~ Silhouette Wildflowers

Hi there 🙂 I have a quick and easy card for you today that I made with the Crafter’s Companion stamp set called Silhouette Wildflowers from the Sheena A Little Bit Sketchy collection. I simply colored directly on my stamp with my Spectrum Aqua markers in Moss, Purple and Magenta. The great part is that you can take as long as you need to color the image, then when you’re done, just “huff” on it to re-moisten it with your breath!

The image was stamped on a Nouveau Stamping Frame die cut, and a simple bow was added to finish it off. I think this card would be great for so many occasions. I might even change out the colors and make a bunch to have on hand!

Crafter’s Companion – The Majestic Oak

Hi there! I’m so excited that I finally got this stamp set from Crafter’s Companion, called The Majestic Oak from the Sheena A Little Bit Sketchy collection! I thought this tree would make a perfect focal image for a background created with my Spectrum Aqua Markers (I used Aquamarine, Gold and Navy).

I used Spectrum Noir Premium White Cardstock…I know, I know, I should be using watercolor paper with my Spectrum Aqua Markers, and the Crafter’s Companion watercolor cardstock is the best around, but I actually didn’t want my colors to blend very well if you believe that! I wanted the whispy sky look of a sunset behind my tree. Plus, with the texture of the watercolor paper you don’t always get a crisp stamped image.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Crafter’s Companion ~ Magnolias

Hi stamping friends 🙂 Woohooo it’s Friday! Oh my gosh what a long week it’s been. I’m so happy to be home from work and crafting the night away 🙂

I got this beautiful set from Crafter’s Companion called Sheena A Little Bit Floral – Magnolia Blossom and oh it was so much fun to color with my Spectrum Noir Markers! I used DG2, DG3, LV1, LV2, LV3. For the background I used the Die’sire Nouveau Stamping Frame, die cut once in Spectrum Noir Premium White Cardstock, and once in the dark purple cardstock to give it a little more dimension. The designer paper is from the Kimono 8×8″ Luxury Paper Pad.

I don’t know about you, but all week long I come home from work completely wiped out…not on Friday! I’m ready to stamp the night away! Off to see what other goodies I’ve got to get crafty with 🙂 Have a great weekend!!
