Hi crafty friends 🙂 It’s been a bit cooler the last few days here in New England, so I was anxious to make a fall themed card this week for Crafter’s Companion. Fall is my favorite season, especially after the super hot summer we had here…I’m ready for some hooded sweatshirts and campfires!
I ordered the Autumn Leaves set a few weeks ago. This two leaf set is perfect for so many fall projects! For my card I started with some Spectrum Aqua Watercolour Cardstock (you know the Crafter’s Companion watercolour cardstock is the best around right?? So many watercolor cardstocks are more of a off-white to almost vanilla look…not this one, it’s a nice crisp white with a wonderful texture!!) I used three separate small pieces so I could achieve the colors I wanted on each. **I did NOT stamp my leaves on the watercolor cardstock until I was done watercoloring and it was dry** I added some color by scribbling with Spectrum Aqua Markers on a sheet of plastic, then picking it up with my wet watercolor brush and painting around randomly. The colors I used were Yellow, Gold, Orange, Crimson and Moss. After I got the watercolor look I wanted, I added more color to my brush and splattered droplets on them.
Both leaf images come on one stamp, so I cut mine in half. Hey, you can do whatever you want with them, they’re you’re stamps, right?!? I’m not the type of crafter that needs to keep everything perfect the way it came in the package. Whatever works for the project I’m creating works for me 😉 I stamped the leaves on my watercolored pieces and then fussy cut them out. Easy peasy! The sentiment is from the Vintage Floral Collection – Greetings.
Hi crafty friends 🙂 Today I was experimenting with my AquaBlend Pencils and came up with a pretty fabulous background quickly and easily! I simply colored strips across my watercolor cardstock (bottom up) in: Pineapple, Mango, Chrome Orange, Carrot, Cherry, Plum Red, Azalea, Wild Orchid, then I brushed water across to blend it. I stamped the image from the Sheena A Little Bit Sketchy Silouette Wildflowers in black once it dried.
I think this would make a great all occasion card! Thanks so much for stopping by 🙂
Hi crafty friends 🙂 Today I wanted to share a card with you that I made using the Together Forever collection, specifically the Celebrate metal die. I’ve made quite a few “romantic” cards for weddings and anniversaries with this collection, but today I wanted to make something a little more bright and festive that could be used for a birthday! So, I got out my Spectrum Aqua Watercolour Cardstock and Spectrum Aqua Markers and made a water colored backdrop for my sentiment.
This card was a breeze to put together, the toughest part was waiting for it to dry after water coloring! I hope I helped you think a little bit out of the box on the Together Forever collection! Have a great weekend and try to make some crafty time for yourself!
Can I tell you how in love I am with the new Together Forever Collection from Crafter’s Companion?!?! It may only be available on HSN right now, and if it’s sold out (like usually happens because Sara Davies demonstrates the product and she is just too fabulous and makes us want everything!!), when it comes to the Crafter’s Companion site you have got to stock up! What a quick and easy way to make elegant cards! I can’t get enough of the silver shine of the Luxury Foiled Card Pad! Here are the supplies I used for this card:
Together Forever Signature Collection Decorative Metal Die – Mr & Mrs
Together Forever Signature Collection A4 Luxury Foiled Card Pad
Together Forever Signature Collection – Luxury Matt Mirror Card
Die’sire Metal Dies – Contemporary Hearts
Hi there! Oh boy, it does not get any simpler than this one folks! I was thinking of a birthday card I could make super quickly for someone and I instantly thought of all the goodies in the Just For Men Collection (which by the way, is NOT just for men!) from Crafter’s Companion and I came up with this card using the On Your Birthday Embossing Folder. I simply embossed it once on white cardstock, then used two scraps of hot pink and lime green and embossed again, then trimmed down the words to size. Added a few sequins and voila! I could make a bunch of these by just switching out the colors of card stock!
Hi stamping friends 🙂 I’m excited to share another project from the Together Forever Collection from Crafter’s Companion with you today! This collection was shown on HSN a week or two ago and there are only a few items left, but I’m hoping it will be available on the Crafter’s Companion site soon, because every item in this collection is so helpful in making fancy looking cards fast!
I hope you can see in the photo the rainbow look of the designer paper background, it has a wonderfully pretty look when it hits the light! This paper is from the A4 Luxury Foiled Card Pad. I also used the Celebrate and Forever in my Heart decorative metal dies to create this simple but fancy looking card.
Hi there 🙂 I’m so excited to share another super easy card with you featuring the Sara’s Signature Collection ~ Together Forever from Crafter’s Companion! This collection was on HSN a week or so ago and there are still a few items available there, but hopefully the full collection will be on the Crafter’s Companion site soon!
Boy, it was tricky to photograph this one because I was trying to show the shine of the silver (Luxury Matt Mirror Card – comes in a pack of 5 gold and 5 silver), but also I hope you can see a little bit of rainbow in the designer paper background (A4 Luxury Foiled Card Pad)?? The glass and sentiment are both decorative metal dies, called Champagne Flute and Celebrate.
