Love You Card

Today's card was so quick and easy to create with just a couple of layers of paper and a few accessories!

I found the perfect Valentine's font HERE, installed it on my computer and used it with my Silhouette Cameo to create "love you" in white.

I layered Sweet Cakes DSP (Doodlebug Designs) on white CS just a 1/4" longer and adhered a strip of sticky strip, then added glitter. Then I adhered that layer onto Melon Mambo CS (SU!), then put that on another SU! color from years ago, I think it may have been called Pretty in Pink (?) which was embossed with the polka dots embossing folder (SU!).

How about the little hearts in the corner? I found some wood veneer die-cut hearts (Studio Calico) at my local scrapbooking store. I adhered coordinating card stock on top and sanded the edges to make sure the card stock was flush with the wood.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #200

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, however you celebrated! My hubby was home for a few days (he's been working in Maryland for a month and a half now), so I took some time off from crafting to spend quality time with him. He flew back last night, which made me very sad, so I thought a little time in my happy place was in order today!

In other exciting news, he bought me a new camera for Christmas (Nikon D3200 with various lenses)! I'm so excited. I'll be even more excited once I take a photography course to learn how to use the darn thing lol! I took the picture of this card with it and I can see a difference already. Imagine how great they'll be when I know what I'm doing?!?!

For today's card I popped over to The Sweetest Thing for Karen's latest Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge:

You will definitely want to play along, there are even prizes this week to My Favorite Things!

Challenges Galore!

Wow, this may be a first for me! Usually I use one or two challenges to inspire my cards, but today I'm playing along with SIX challenges! Because of the color scheme on ColourQ this week (red, green, kraft & brown), I went with another Christmas card.

I'm planning on writing my Christmas cards out tomorrow, so unless I don't have enough this is probably my last Christmas card. I looooove Christmas, but I'm just about ready to start stamping something else!

Then I checked out what the gals at Merry Monday were up to, and it's Mitten themed cards this week!

I got my layout from CAS(E) this Sketch:

Then I also joined in on the Simon Says Stamp Let It Snow, CAS-ual Fridays' Let It Snow, and Ribbon Carousel's Anything Goes challenge, basically because I saw them on my friend Lesley's blog & wanted to play along :)

Here are the supplies I used for my card:

Stamps: Warm Winter Wishes (Flourishes)

Paper: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke DSP (SU!), XPressIt Blending Card

Copics: E30, E31, E33, E35, R20, R22, R24, R27
