Sweet Sunday Sketch 289 & 30 Day Coloring Challenge

sweet-sunday-289-and-30-day

Hey stamping friends 🙂 Wow this weekend has zipped by. I’ve been a busy beaver getting my new site up & running.  I’ve had some scares along the way…imagine fiddling around with things you don’t know how to operate and having all 8 years of blog post photos disappear…yup, that happened. But that was last night’s crisis lol. Today I got to stamp…and color, right after I re-directed all 260 of my pins on Pinterest to my new links…hey it only took about 4 hours!!

Anyway, to the fun part having a blog, getting to share a card I made! I am joining in on Kathy’s 30 Day Coloring Challenge again today. I colored some yesterday too, but that was for a design team commitment so I can’t share just yet 🙂 I am also playing along with this week’s Sweet Sunday Sketch ChallengeSSSC289:For my card I used the Blended Bloom stamp from Stampin’ Up!, along with some random DSP I found in my stash. Note to self, pick out DSP first, then color to match! Coloring first then finding DSP to match is NOT that easy! I colored my flower in Copics: RV000, RV14, RV81, RV83, RV85. The sentiment is from another Stampin’ Up! set called Curly Cute.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you get a chance to get inky soon!

The 30 Day Coloring Challenge & Curtain Call Challenge

100115Hey stamping friends 🙂 Oh my it’s the first of October already! Where has the time gone?! One good thing about October is it’s the beginning of Kathy’s 30 Day Coloring Challenge. I’ve had my eye on Kathy’s blog The Daily Marker for some time now, but have never joined in on her previous coloring challenges. Why?? Am I a little intimated by the talent and creativity that oozes out of every project she creates? Maybe…Seriously folks, today she turned a Starbucks coffee cup into the most adorable card, seriously.

But hey, you don’t get better if you don’t practice right? With Kathy’s latest coloring challenge I am looking at getting inky a LOT.

I also checked out the latest challenge at the Curtain Call: Going Batty.

going batty

Oh yeah, I’ve got the perfect set for that! I pulled out the stinkin’ cute set from MFT Stamps called Witch Way is the Candy.

I created a background using distress inks in Seedless Preserves and Chipped Sapphire. I colored my image with the following Copics:

Cat: N5, 58, N10 – Eyes: FRV1, RV09

Bats: N1, N3, N5, N7 – Eyes: YG01, YG06

Moon: Y06, Y13, Y8

I added a little BG000 and BG01 behind the cat, and added some black dots with my black Copic multiliner.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you get a chance to get inky soon!
