Big Shot Top Notes Card

I am loving the new Big Shot for Stampin' Up! I hope you've tried it and you love it as much as I do! This was the quickest little card to whip up, I've been busy getting ready for my Stamper's Club Monday and cutting for my designer paper/embellishment/ribbon kits so I haven't had a ton of time to stamp just for the fun of it.

I made this little card using Pirouette Pink card stock, and I cut it to your average card size, but the long way. Then I lined it up in my Big Shot using the Top Notes die, but I made sure the top was within the die, so it would not be cut when I ran it through the machine. Then I used the Birds & Blooms dies to make these cute little flower and leaf embellishments…Also, the center image matches perfectly, it's called Cute & Curly and you can see it on page 189.

By the way, are you just loving the designer buttons like I am? It's killing me to actually use them but I'm trying to be a big brave girl! Come on, I know you can relate!!! I get the perfect package of beautiful buttons or brads, or designer paper, and don't want to use it all up because then it will be gone…I have to take a new stance of  "use it or lose it!!"  What if I wait around for that perfect time to use that perfect embellishment and it ends up retired? What a shame! From now on, I'm using everything I love!!!

I also used the beautiful Bella Rose paper on this one, with that silky Kiwi satin ribbon, love that too, let's use it up!! How cute is that little stitching in the card? The Big Shot does that, seriously this card took me all of about 5 minutes! Gotta love that!

  1. I know – all these fun embellishments are hard to part with!! Your card looks amazing though – love the simplicity of the design, and the colors you chose too!
