Hi stamping friends 🙂 Today I have a super cute project to share with you! I came across THIS freebie this morning, and knew I HAD to make these for my little niece and nephews that are coming over for Thanksgiving. I love to make favors, but usually they include something minty and the kids aren’t big fans so these are perfect! They offer a cut file or printable and both are free today. I downloaded both but opted to use the printable on this project.
EOS lip balms are super hot right now and they come in lots of colors and flavors. I picked 3 that fit the turkey colors: Summer Fruit, Pomegranate Raspberry, and Tangerine. This printable is so easy to use, simply download it and print on to card stock, then cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″, then layer on chocolate brown 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″, then layer onto the backing 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Then use a 1-3/8″ circle die to cut out the “bellies” for the lip balm. You will need to go over it twice to cut through three layers (at least I did). Then open the lip balm, slide it into the cut out circle made by the die and re-close! I added some 7 mm googly eyes to finish it off.
Hi stamping friends 🙂 I know it’s getting pretty chilly outside (at least it is here in the Northeast!), and next week is Thanksgiving, so I thought it was time to create a card that would remind us of warmer weather with Sheena’s A Little Bit Floral – Lily set from Crafter’s Companion.
Hi stamping friends 🙂 It’s time for a new challenge at The Card Concept, and I am loving this week’s inspiration photo…wouldn’t it be dreamy to live in this home?!?! :
My style is clean and layered. I was inspired by the overall picturesque scene, although the scene that usually happens at my house is more typical of how my card looks, one exhausted mom! There is LOTS of paper-piecing in the card if you look closely, and I colored the rest with Copics. The stamp set is retired from MFT Stamps called Merry Christmas.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have time to join us this week, we love to see your creations!
Hi stamping friends 🙂 Today I’m sharing a fun Christmas card with you. With Thanksgiving only a week and a half away, I’d better get cracking on making my Christmas cards! My how time flies. This card was made with a super cute set from Crafter’s Companion from the Nordic Christmas collection called Cool Christmas. I just love this adorable snowman, but all of the sets in this collection are calling my name 😉
Hi stamping friends 🙂 I am having a wonderful Sunday, I hope you are too! I started out the day making homemade sauce and meatballs, then took a show and got on fresh pajamas, then spent the rest of the day in my craft room…pure bliss 🙂
I used a super sweet new stamp set from MFT Stamps called Toasty Greetings, along with the matching die-namics set. I wanted to go a little non-traditional on this Christmas card, so my penguin is dressed in purple, colored in Copics. I also used the Die-namics Basic Stitch Lines for the linear portion of the sketch. It’s tough to see in the picture because they were so shiny the photography was tricky, but the dark little star speckles are shiny silver.
Thanks so much for stopping by 🙂 I hope you have had some time to get crafty this weekend too!
Hi stamping friends 🙂 This week CAS Colours & Sketches challenge blog is celebrating its 3rd year anniversary with sketch #150, and some of the Crafter’s Companion DT members are joining in on the fun! You’ll definitely want to check out the challenge, I hear there are prizes 🙂 Here’s the sketch:
For my card I used the Makey Bakey – Make a Wish set. Oh my I just love these little mice! I colored them with Spectrum Aqua markers (have you tried these markers yet??? They are a MUST have!), and there is a FABULOUS SALE going on right now!!! Check it out HERE. Here are the colors I used:
Mice: Terracotta & Tan (fur), Peach & Slate (bellies)
Cupcake: Red Violet, Scarlet, Peach (frosting), Crimson & Red Violet (cherry), Chocolate & Tan (wrapper)
Flame/Candle: Orange & Gold
Matchstick & Ladder: Chocolate
Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you’ll join the challenge this week!
Hi stamping friends 🙂 Today I’m playing along with a new-to-me challenge called Virginia’s View. This is a monthly challenge, and once I saw the inspiration photo and cards I was hooked. This month’s challenge is to use texture:
For my card I added texture by using three different embossing folders, adding some liquid applique to my moose’s hat, and of course what would a Christmas tree be without some sparkly ornaments?! I used a little floral DSP for the rug to give it a textured appearance. The stamp set is called Merry Christmoose from MFT Stamps. How cute is this little guy?!? AND there’s even a matching die set so no fussy cutting!
The moose and tree were colored with the following Copics:
Moose/Tree Holder: E33, E35, E37, E59
Hat/Mug: R14, R17, R29
Pants: N2, N5, N7
Sweater: B21, B24, B26
Tree: YG95, YG97, G29 on top of a sponged layer of Old Olive and Garden Green SU! inks
Star: Y15, Y18
For the ornaments on the tree I colored some flat-backed sticky rhinestones with Copics in RV09, R29, B24, Y15, YR07, V09, YG05
Hi stamping friends 🙂 Today I’m sharing a card I made with some new supplies from Crafter’s Companion. You’ll be seeing a lot of these little mice, I find them totally adorable (and so much fun to color)!
I was so excited when I found some gold cardstock for the Merry Monday challenge to use Red & Gold! I used it for his mittens and the little heart on his hat, along with the circle beneath him. I paired it with the Christmas Cuteness set from My Favorite Stamps, which, YAY, has a matching die-namics set so no fussy cutting!
I colored Santa in with Copics in R14, R17, R29, R39, and added a little E40 to his beard and hair, along with a little R30 for some rosy cheeks. The snowflake embossing folder is from SU!, but apparently it’s retired.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you found a little time to get crafty this weekend!
Hi stamping friends 🙂 It’s that time again, time for a new challenge at The Card Concept, and this week we’ve got a fabulous fall photo to inspire you!
My style is clean & layered, and I was inspired by the colors and rustic look of the photo. I saw some berry twigs in the background and thought of this wreath. I used the Seasonal Wreaths set from Flourishes (did you hear they are going to be re-opening?!?!), colored with Copics in Y15, Y18, Y38, YR15, YR18, R17, YG91.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you find time to join us this week!
