How much fun is this inspiration photo? I love that the Knit Wit set fits this challenge perfectly. I took the challenge quite literally and turned the balls of yarn from the Knit Wit set into ornaments. Any knitter will appreciate this kind of Christmas card right? There’s also a SugarCut set to cut the images from the Knit Wit set out perfectly, so it makes this card super easy. I simply drew on the strings and bows and added a little bling.
It’s hard to believe we’re less than three weeks away from Christmas! I hope in the hustle and bustle of the season you’ll find some time to make a card and join us, we love to see what you create! Plus, there’s a chance to win a prize and everyone loves free stamping goodies!
Hi there stamping friends! Today I’m playing along with the current Mix It Up Challenge at SugarPea Designs! There’s not much time left in this month’s challenge, so be sure to play along for your chance to win!! Here’s the challenge:
I opted to go with the color inspiration this time. Ooh those cozy colors of yarn made me wish I knew how to knit! For my card I simply used two SugarCut dies along with some distress inks, the Harlequin Cover Plate andHello.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you’ll make some time to play along with us!
Hi there! I’m super excited because today is the first day of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge and I am going for it this time! As many of you know, my husband works on Long Island so we only get to see each other on weekends. This means I won’t be coloring on the weekends, but during the week I am on it! I’ve been feeling like my crafty mojo has been MIA lately, so this is the perfect way to jump start it again!
I saw the Birthday Project Challenge at MFT Stamps and thought this would be a fun place to start! I adore the Pure Innocence collection and love coloring these little cuties. The one I used here is called Happy Banner, but I don’t believe it’s available anymore. I used patterned paper from the Subtle Plaids 6×6 Paper Pack to paper piece her dress and bow, and colored the rest with Copics.
I created a bag out of designer paper, the bag is 4-1/2″ wide x 5″ tall x 2″ deep so it will be perfect for a little something. I added grommets so that the ribbon would not rip the designer paper when holding the bag.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you make some time to color today!
I love that the Everyday is Christmas set can be used for so many all occasion cards like this one!! It makes me happy to get to keep my holiday stamp sets out all year round. I colored this sweet little turtle with Copics (YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97), and the bird was colored with BG000, BG02 and BG05. I speckled on a bit of E42, E53, and E44 to create a little sandy ground for him to stand on.
Please be sure to play along with us because a. We love to see what you create, and b. There’s a prize to be won!!
Hello crafty peeps! I’m playing along with this month’s Mix It Up Challenge at SugarPea Designs today! My favorite part of this challenge is that you can use the photo or sketch for your inspiration, or both! Today I’m using the sketch. I feel like the photo inspired me to make my card more colorful, although not with the same colors that are in the photo. Here’s the challenge:
Here are the supplies I used to make my card, along with Distress Oxide Inks for the background:
Hey stamping friends! Today SugarPea Designs is sharing in the excitement of STAMPtember with our friends at Simon Says Stamp! Here’s my card:
These darling cactus images are just too stinkin’ cute, and how about those sentiments too? I know we all have those days that we’re a little “prickly”! For my card I sponged a little Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink into watercolor paper, then splattered a little water on it for a backdrop to my cactus. I colored the cactus in Copics (YG01, YG03, YG06, YG09), and for the pot I used (YR21, YR24, YR27). I cut out the center of the Postage Stamp Cover Plate SugarCut with a Zig Zag Stitched Circle SugarCut and popped up the cactus with foam tape for some added dimension.

As soon as I saw the inspiration photo I knew I’d be using the Arrow Cover Plate for my card (It’s on sale too!!)! The pattern is easily adapted to the inspiration photo with the addition of yellow and gray arrows! I also used the Hello SugarCut in black to go with the black accents of the quilt.
Ok, it’s your turn to play along now. How will you be inspired???
