SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #35

Hi stamping friends 🙂 Today I’m up on the SugarPea Designs blog with some fresh inspiration for Mix It Up Challenge #35:

I went a little bit with the sketch and a little bit with the inspiration photo. I used the Arrow Cover Plate to mimic the lines of the windows and door and used paper from the Spots & Stripes Paper Pad (Brights) to coordinate colors from the inspiration photo as well. I added the following SugarCut dies to follow the sketch: CelebrateZigZag Stitched CirclesPopcorn Treat Box (star).

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you’ll take some time to join us this month. We love seeing what you create! Plus, there’s a prize to be won!!

SugarPea Designs Sweet2Repeat Blog Hop!

Hi stamping friends! It’s time for the Sweet2Repeat Blog Hop at SugarPea Designs and I couldn’t resist using the fabulous Mandala stamp again (and again, and again…), I love it so much! I also used the Sweet Sentiments – You stamp set, along with the You SugarCut. I made the background using Yupo paper and alcohol inks. Wow, so much fun! There are a zillion videos on YouTube if you decide to give it a try! Then, I stamped the Mandala in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.

Each of the design team members have created something new to inspire you with stamps from the last release. Plus, there’s a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the SugarPea Designs store!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 12 ~ Create a Scene

Hi again stamping friends 🙂 Lots of stamping and coloring this month thanks to The 30 Day Coloring Challenge! Today I’m playing along with the current challenge on the Lawn Fawnatics blog, to create a scene! It was a rough day at work (aren’t they all???) so I went super simple with just some distress inks for the sky background, and I used the Home for the Holidays stamp set along with the matching die. I made a little banner with the sentiment on it, I hope it looks like it’s ruffling in the wind behind the car!

STAMPtember SugarPea Designs Exclusive Set ~ Koalaty Time

Hello stamping friends! I’m so thrilled to join in on the month-long celebration at Simon Says Stamp! SugarPea Designs has created a new stamp set exclusively for this event called Koalaty Time! Don’t hesitate, because this set is available while supplies last!! There is also a coordinating die set and you can purchase them individually or as a bundle!

Here’s a card I created using this sweet set:

I colored the adorable koala using Copic Markers, along with the fabulous new Spots & Stripes Paper Pad (Pastels, they also come in Brights!). I added a flag from the Stitched Flag SugarCut set, added some distress ink and water splatters, then added the Celebrate SugarCut to finish it off.

Also so exciting that this event coincides with the 30 Day Marker Challenge! The more coloring the better 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check out THIS post on the SugarPea Designs blog to see what the rest of the design team has come up with!

TGIF Challenges ~TGIFC123

Hey there 🙂 Thanks to The 30 Day Coloring Challenge I made time to squeeze in a little coloring today!  I do so much better when I’m playing along with a challenge, and today I came across the TGIF Challenges blog and joined in on their color challenge:

I used the Funky Flowers set from MFT Stamps, colored the flower in with Copics, then added some white gel pen accents. I added an Espresso colored Hello from the Hello There Die-namics set.

30 Day Coloring Challenge ~ Barn to be Wild

Good morning stamping friends! I’m so excited because today is Day 1 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge! I’ve played along a few times in the past, but this time I vowed (to myself) to join in much more often, hopefully every day! My hubby is coming home today for the weekend, so I don’t know how much coloring I will squeak in…so I was up at 6:00 this morning coloring away! Luckily I had been playing with my new Scan n Cut 2 and had lots of these sweet images from the SugarPea Designs set called Barn to be Wild all cut out and ready to go! I colored the farm animals and tractor with Copics and added a background of fun chicken wire paper from the Countryside Charm patterned paper collection. I drew some little curvy lines between the tractor and animals with a black Copic multiliner.

Okay, off to get ready for work! I feel so much better already starting out the day with a little “me” time!! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

MFT Sketch Challenge #347

Hi stamping friends 🙂 I hope that you’re enjoying the beginning of your weekend as much as I am! The house all to myself and a room full of stamping supplies…what more could a girl ask for?!? Today I’m playing along with this week’s MFT Sketch Challenge :

Sketch Challenge 347 #mftstamps

For my card I used the Birdie Brown Up in the Air set. I can’t believe I’ve had this set since it was released and I’m just breaking it out tonight! If you’ve seen any of my other cards this week, you know I’m in kind of a rainbow mood this week! I SO enjoyed coloring these sweet images with Copics! I created a sky by sponging Distress Inks onto watercolor paper. No splatters today, I wanted a crystal clear blue sky for these guys to fly up in!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
