Advent Calendar

Advent

Here's an advent calendar I made for my two boys, plus my niece and nephew this weekend. I think they're just too cute, plus you can't beat an advent calendar that's actually a treat for mom at the end, I'll get to keep the mini muffin pans! How perfect that the Jolly Bingo Bits set in the Holiday Mini has 24 different little images…perfect for an advent calendar?!?! The covers for each cup are made from Cherry Cobbler card stock with the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, and the images are stamped on Very Vanilla card stock punched with the Ornament punch.

Here's the thing though, I could only find a non-stick pan, so it makes it tricky for sticking down the covers for each day! It will be nice when I'm actually using them to make muffins, but if I were making this project again I would look for some cheapy little non- non-stick pans lol!!

I saw this idea online a couple of months ago, but there is no watermark on the picture and I have no idea where I found it. The one I saw had numbers for each day, but no stamped pictures so at least mine's a bit different even though the basic idea came from someone else.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Kerin – looks like we have similar taste!! I also made a countdown tin – mine only has 12 compartments and is made from a disposable aluminum pan but I think it turned out great. Would love to have you peek at it!! Originally I was going to use a self stick pan but the drilling holes got old fast. When I saw the disposable pan I knew i had hit onto something easy!!
    Thanks for you constant inspiration.

  2. Hi. Your calendar is super cute. I have an idea for you I saw at a local craft fair.. she punched her circles out of the magnet paper…that way they stuck to the opening and you didn’t have to worry about glueing it. Plus, then you can hang it on the wall. Your design is really cute! She only had the 12 muffin tin, and the large ones, I think your mini is great!!
