Acetate Basket

Guess what I got today????? Yup, you guessed it, more acetate! I bought it at Office Depot (every now and then it comes in handy that one of the kids needs poster board for a project huh?), and I got 20 sheets for 15.99, and they're a package of Clear Gloss Binding Covers. The brand name is Impact in case you're looking. As I mentioned in my previous acetate post, I've bought single sheets before, but I figured I better buy a bunch since I want to make LOTS of stuff with it!! I am having so much fun playing with it…today I decided to try the basket from the Big Shot Baskets & Blooms die. The tricky part is that since it's clear, I think the pictures don't do them much justice! I assembled my basket with Sticky Strip, and I made the paper strips from Ski Slope dsp which I put through the crimper. I used the snowflakes sizzlits dies to make the snowflake on the ribbon, and I used shimmery white card stock, but that just wasn't shimmery enough for me so I needed to add Dazzling Diamonds glitter for a little extra "shimmer".

The center image is stamped on shimmer white, and it's one of the Deer Friends stamps, but them I stamped the little snowflake from Punch Pals for the middle. The whole thing is set on a Real Red wide oval, what a great new punch that is to make tags. I used silver brads, which I would recommend attaching before you fill your basket with paper and candy…I didn't think of it until after so mine is stuck on with dimensionals AND sticky strip (because it's sort of rounded, the sides with the brads like to pop up).

Hope you enjoyed today's project…I was just thinking I should probably get back to stamping some cards soon huh? I've been doing 3d things for a while now with the occasional card thrown in there, can you tell I just love to alter stuff and make 3d items?
